This is not my first review. I lived at this property from Dec 2022 until Dec 2023. There were some really nice people who worked in the office at the Norfolk location. Maintenance was nice. And, I had a couple of really nice neighbors. But, it was a challenge living there. Although Ive been gone since Dec, I wanted to post this post regarding the water bill, but I had to wait until I got my first full two month water/sewer bill at my house. Renew uses the RUB system. This is a shared system whereas the water and sewer bill is divided among the tenants based on the number of people in your apt. We had 3 adults, a teenager and a kid in our apartment. Every month our bill was either a little over or close to $300 even if you subtract the $25 trash charge and $5 pest control charge. We were living there because our home was being restored after a fire in Aug 2021. Our home is 3500 sf. The same folk who lived in our apartment live in my house. We live in Chesapeake, so the bill is bi-monthly. Our bill for two months was 230.97 for water and sewage. No lie! Why am I posting this? Because I think potential tenants should be aware that the RUBS system is an unfair system, and you will be paying far more for water and sewage than you will actually use. There are people who have more people staying in their apts than who is on the lease, and there are people who take extended showers and have washing machines in their apartment. You will pay for it. BEWARE!

Ive been living at ReNew for two years now. I moved here before it was bought out. The experience here was way better when I first moved in but now it went downhill. I see cockroaches constantly in the hallways and I also see dead ones in my kitchen. My toilet has leaked in my neighbors apartment downstairs. My shower has been clogged. The appliances here are old and not worth paying over $1,000 each month. When it comes to contacting the leasing office its unprofessional and they dont respond. There has been homeless men changing clothes in the bushes and leaving their clothes in the back of the building. I also seen a homeless man sleeping in the laundry room when I went to go wash clothes. The laundry room could use more cleaning as far the washers and dryers. I wont be renewing my lease here because I am moving out of the town but I wouldnt recommend this place.

Is absolutely horrible. They have multiple communities that have closed offices due to their shortage of staff which makes communication hard for residents. They barely update Their online portal. All maintenance requests being processed do not get completed. They charge you 25$ to take your trash and theyre not consistent. There is only 1.. dumpster for the whole community.. The laundry mat they provide is also horrible , the machines are supposed to work through an app Renew provided to residents through someone else , they sometimes break down and renew has no way of helping you get your money back from the service they provided. Please do not waste your time with renew. Charging almost 1600 for an apartment that still has gas stoves and all the pipes are connected in every unit which clogs all sinks and drains , the toilets constantly run so the running water raises the water bill. and the walls are thin. Theyre not Renewing anything. Dont waste your time. All the pictures are separate from this review and most Recent.

So my experience living here in round bay apartments /renewal apartments was not a good stay there management is the worst old and new and the prices they charge is out of control when Ive put requested in many times as well my bathroom sink was clog for 1 year and half they kept coming out draining and saying its fixed but soon as you wash your hands the sink back full with water and dose not go down , my bath tub been clog for a few months as I lived there my middle slide door that has been pushed in all this time to the day the maintenance man came in and pulled the wall out knowing it was stuck and left it just like that and quote on quote ( said only way he can push the sliding door back in is he going to have to take the whole wall down but still never made a effort to come back out and actually fix what I requested thats my bathroom sink and my room door to the bathroom that was off the hinges so poor service there another thing my car been broken into twice each year I stayed there first year in the back parking lot my side window was busted out and things was stolen out my car and I had to replace a window did a police report no camera or lights worked in the back where they assigned my spot to park and then last year there was a brick thrown at my front main window and I had to pay 400 to replace another window on my car did another police report and still nothing was done contacted leasing office and they showed no concerned lights didnt work and no cameras dark area couldnt park my car any where else besides on the street and I have two kids and the amount there saying I owe them is at 8 grand and I dont know how and Im not happy following with an eviction notice I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone the management is poor maintenance is poor I just didnt have a good experience here with two children and the amount of money they saying I owe when I was trying my best the two years I was there and reaching out to talk to someone and no one never really communicated back I called multiple times went by the office never once ran or tried not to talk so Im really upset with the next steps and my experience here .on top of charging a 25 dollar trash fee every month when they barely took my trash the last time my trash was taking from my door was back in June and I put my trash out numerous times and my trash was still in the van and everyone else trash was empty my bag was not heavy it was tied no leaks or anything they just wont taking it so thats another issue I had

Renew Norfolk was better before it was bought out!! I advise maintenance about our bathtub knob being loose and they came but never fix the issue. About a week ago, we advised the maintenance about a leak from our bathtub every time we showered the carpet would get soaked. They brought out fans and stated a plumber would be out to fix the issue, A thumber never came out! Today, there was and still is a leak from the vent in the bathroom. We advised them of the issue and nobody came out. Even put in an emergency work order. Every time the neighbors upstairs flush their toilets or showers the leak is worse. I just want to know who wants to live in an apartment where the property management, does not keep their end of the bargain? We have been trying to be patient with them however they aren't really meeting us halfway. It seems as if we only get their attention if we leave a review on Google after multiple complaints.
