The gate is always broken and its annoying cause how am I supposed to get my packages and Uber if the gate is always broken.

At first I wasn't going to say anything but now I'm going to voice my concerns. I was really excited about me moving and really loved the neighborhood and even the positive reviews I seen. My move-in was supposed to be March 29th but it was postponed due to baseboards not being present in the apartment so it was pushed to Saturday. That ended up being an inconvenience but I brushed it off because things happen. Saturday arrives and I go to do a walk through of my apartment and there's trash in the kitchen, dirty floors, dirty carpets, and an unclean bathroom. I had already purchased a U-Haul that was scheduled to be back at a certain time so I ended up having to unpack everything and go get a hotel room that I paid for that night. Today May 31st I moved into my apartment and in the process of moving into my apartment in broad daylight someone decides to break into my car that is parked in the apartment complexes parking lot. After breaking into my car they were able to rummage around locate my wallet steal $684 and my kids social security cards. To top it off I had to file a police report and I'm pretty sure I'm never going to see that money ever again. I spoke to some neighbors in the apartment complex as well as neighbors that were behind me who stated their vehicles have been broken into and nothing has been done. My purpose of moving was to find a bigger place for me and my children and and to feel safe in return I feel like I might have made the biggest mistake of my life and I no longer feel safe in the neighborhood if someone can break into my car in broad daylight. What makes it worse is instead of having a Easter for my children I was moving into my apartment when I should have initially moved in the day I was told from the very beginning.

Honest review...So far not such a great experience other than the ladies in the office are nice and helpful. I was expecting to move into a decent apartment after the amount of deposit I had to pay which was more than the rent. To start a few things had to immediately be fixed. There is still a lot that needs fixing. Work orders were suppose to be put in for the rest but to date nothing. Looks like someone punched a bunch of holes in the wall and they were poorly repaired and the apartment wasn't painted before I moved in. So what am I really paying for? There is mold in the vents and a ton of dust. Now for the not so great. In less than a week there has been 2 shootings our here. Yes that can happen anywhere. But where is the security? They have a gate but it is constantly broke because whoever keeps running into it. I don't think people like that gate and it serves no purpose really And the gate in the back doesn't really serve a purpose either. The reviews when I first looked at this place wasn't bad. But most of them only talk about how great the ladies in the office are and not the apartment complex itself. I should of looked deeper and went somewhere else. To my understanding this place is under new management and I know it takes time to make changes but I shouldn't be paying this much for a tore up apartment. Unless things really change a lot I won't be renewing my lease. Just don't understand how the surrounding area is decent but this place is not safe and run down. But on a good note that I'm thankful for is no bugs! I don't even think bugs want to be here.
