Restorations-Peter Schichtel

We recently used Restorations by Peter Schichtel, of Morristown to resurface our kitchen island wood countertop. He arranged to pick up and redeliver the finished product within two weeks (allowing a few days for color samples to be approved). The entire team was extremely professional and knowledgeable. They were willing to take the extra steps to achieve the color palette we wanted. The countertop was returned on schedule, and it came out beautifully. It exceeded our expectations! Peter and his staff were a "pleasure " to deal with! They worked and restored a 1914 Lane cedar chest to its original condition! Peter beautifully crafted feet for the chest as well. They also restored an early 1900 child's chair to its original condition! Both these items were done promptly and expertly refinished! I highly recommend this store !!!! Peter and his staff will definitely do all our refinishing from now on!

I took this rifle stock with finish issues in to Peter, and he stripped off the old finish and refinished it in a beautiful walnut with a lacquer topcoat for protection and shine. Just look at this beautiful wood now! This guy does some seriously great work with wood. No hesitations to bring him anything else that needs work next time!

WOW! Peter Schichtel refinished our 4th generation table to its original beauty and magnificence. We knew it was a rare table based on the woodworking, and design, but the finished product is just spectacular. Thank you Peter for bringing our family heirloom back to life.

Peter and his team came to the rescue of my 1895 Victorian front door ! It had many layers of paint and a large crack . My door is now restored to its original beauty , and ready for the next 127 years !!!!!
