Since moving here a few years ago, Laurel's name has consistently come up as one of, if not the, best brass instrument repair technicians in the Cities. I've heard rave reviews of her trombone slide work, and for trumpets, no less than David Baldwin, professor of trumpet at the U, has said that she is his go-to person for his instruments. This speaks for itself. I would trust her with my instruments and will gladly recommend her to students and colleagues alike.

The owner is great and does an excellent job of explaining what needs to be done and the cost for each step of the way. She takes the time to make sure you understand and gives a good estimate of how long it will take to get the job done. I have had the good fortune to sit and watch the owner at work. Perfection is the goal, but it is not usually achievable due to time and cost. So getting it as close to there as possible and staying on budget and on time are important. The instruments I have seen come in and go out are transformed in amazing way. Dull, dented and broken come out shiny, undented and functioning as they should.

I wouldn’t use this place if it was the last shop on earth. She can’t solder, remove dents or even clean an instrument properly. Overpriced. She is closed 1/2 the time and very inconvenient. Horrible location. Also has her local musician friends Tyler Cessor and Derek Thorsteinsson spread spam and erratic negative terroristic attacks on feedback here for Facebook and Google.
