Over the past few years I have attended several encaustic painting workshops with Jodi Reeb. Jodi is an incredibly talented artist who is also a fabulous instructor, teaching not only techniques and processes, but also tapping into history, design and color theory in her classes as well! She has coached me and mentored me, and because of this I have begun my own artistic journey. Her workshops provide all the supplies you would need to create a work of art, whether you are in her studio or on a workshop trip. Both options are fantastic! Highly recommend!

Jodi is enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun! I learned so much during her workshop. Im hooked on encaustic wax medium and will be looking to sign up for more workshops with Jodi.

FIVE STAR JODI REVIEW Re: Excellent Encaustic Class at Penland and continued Live Zoom Lessons: Jodi Reeb is truly amazing! We all had a wonderfully memorable, motivating, positive, experience this week (September, 2023) in Jodis encaustic class at Penland! I so look forward to developing a daily art routine - thanks to Jodis positive influence. I am determined to continue the "Penland momentum" from the amazing energy and atmosphere of Penland and Jodi's teachings. The synergy at Penland was fueled with Jodis positive reinforcement and entertaining teaching style, as well as Penland's atmosphere, modern facilities and awesome staff. We all feel like we got to know Jodi on a genuine level, while learning so much about technique - all the while through Jodi's positive, lite hearted, carefree approach AND, ALL THE WHILE JODI PROVIDES teaching excellent (complex) safety measures, as well as expert guidance for each of our levels and individual styles of painting. So inspired!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH, JODI! Currently, Jodi helps with my progress via live zooms a few times per month amongst my busy schedule. Jodi is truly an expert in bringing students talents into focus and knows very well how to guide each individual along with their particular strongpoints, while also greatly helping to build upon what each student can work on to better express themselves and strengthen their Art Process.
