Badger Electric Motor, and particularly Don Tiegs, has been a reliable source for expertise and excellent service. Badger is not a place the will quote a low price and tell you later it is going to cost more due to "unknown conditions." There were times Don would tell me a job took a little more than expected, but he will stick to his quote. As a younger electrical engineer, Don has become the go to person when I need explanation of more complex motor issues. Specifically, Don has helped greatly with knowledge transfer of synchronous motors. In total, our facilities have (20+) 500hp - 2250hp synch motors and younger electricians with limited synch motor expertise. Badger also stands behind their products and work. The only instance in all my time working with Badger, we had one set of stator RTDs were not registering an accurate resistance. A technician was out the next day to replace the RTDs and we've had no issues since. The motor location was less than ideal. The tech was able to setup safe working conditions and was finished by the end of the day. I could go on, but want to keep this review somewhat readable!

Never send a Fanuc motor to them. They cant get bearings and charge you for a service that was not performed. Waste of time and waste of money. Hack!
