Apparently charge for appointments that you never went to. Then 2 years afterwards they try and bill you for these services. Beware. Stay away go elsewhere if you can.

My child was referred to Beacon ABA services by Dr Shannon Kay in March 2019. We met his BABC was pretty cool! My child had 2 people come. A man named Tyler Robbins and a woman named Molly O'Brien. Now from May to September things went mostly okay. There were some hiccups with family issues/illness that caused us to have to cancel sessions.
September 2019 rolls around and that is when things got sketchy. Now I tried not to get too personal but I was not rude either. When they asked me questions I would be honest. Tyler was great with my child. My child was actually engaging and responding to his name and doing things he hadn't done prior.
There was an issue according to them there was fleas in our house. Okay so we did everything we could to remove fleas. We also have a DIRT cellar in a very old over 100 year old home but we ended up putting our beloved cats to sleep. After all when your child has a diagnosis of autism you want to get them the best help possible right?
Molly... She was okay. Until she went back to her bosses and straight up LIED. She said that my child had lice. That was very much a lie. I took my child to the hospital to make SURE my child did not have lice. I was correct and doctors there said as well. I was also given documentation.
The next day I got a call from Gabby Rancourt who said that Molly and Tyler were no longer coming to do sessions. Molly claims I made fun of her weight. That is hilariously not true. I myself am a big girl there is no way I'd make fun of someone's weight. It was also claimed that i supposedly told Molly something and Tyler another thing but when i inquired about that i was ignored. Molly also claims there was swearing. A couple times i admit yes i slipped up and quickly apologized to which BOTH Molly and Tyler would say 'Don't worry about it'
It took some time but new people were found. Both were awesome! Unfortunately Kelsey was not on too long. There were some family stuff that popped up and I had to focus on that so Kelsey asked to be taken off my child's case. The other therapist was Kim. She was great!! She did a lot more with my child than Molly did.
Would I recommend Beacon? Yes but i would say do your research as I wish I had done before allowing Beacon to start services. Molly O'Brien Is not qualified to be a BT. My understanding is, She doesn't hold the degrees needed to be a Behavior Therapist. Now if that has changed since September then that's great.
Overall I would not say Beacon was a disappointment. I do appreciate what they were able to help me help my child learn but i do not recommend Molly O'Brien as she will make up lies. We are no longer working with Beacon ABA services in West Springfield.

I would honestly give no stars to this company for what they did to my son and their own in home therapists. My sons was an existing client of a year and a half. We very very rarely have ever canceled. My son needed their help. He is starting preschool full time this fall and still needs services after school. I got a phone call from the woman who oversees my sons case. That come this fall he would be on a waiting list. That because they don't have enough workers and due to covid had a huge waiting list for kids who weren't even clients yet, they were going to cut my son to zero hours " until maybe we hire someone in your area who can give your son some hours". Then I called multiple companies and my son's BCBA from school to be told that this was extremely unethical as they are considered health care workers. So I found a company, and notified the lady who over saw my sons case with an end date. The new company tried to get an authorization for an assessment, for them to be told that the woman never notified the insurance part of beacon that I gave an end date. Only her and the two therapist who came in the home knew. Now a month later my son has no therapy coming in. And this new company is dealing with beacon trying to come in the home to help my son. Beacon therapist were great with my son. But the company itself and the heads of beacon failed my son.

Unorganized, miscommunication, missed visit without any notice. I had to ask where the therapist was five minutes past when they should have arrived. The office said the therapist was supposed to notify me an the therapist said the office was supposed to tell me that no one was coming that day. Lack of direction and constant miscommunication. Promises things they can not deliver. Assigned a supervisor that did not attend much at all and left with an inexperienced therapist who seemed to not know what to do without the absent supervisor. Almost a month after ending services with Beacon I am receiving DocuSign emails and no one responded when I told them we are not with Beacon anymore and the document is not needed. I was not going to leave a review but after getting three emails about signing a document I should have never received I wanted to warn others of my bad experience. Don't waste your time and choose another provider.
