        I gave 2 stars because this is a nice store with good employees, but I dont appreciate their stance on lab grown diamonds. Diamonds have ALWAYS been artificially inflated in price due to a monopoly in the mines. Now due to technology everyone can afford high quality diamonds. Jewelers like Chalmers are tying (unsuccessfully) to devalue lab grown diamonds because they obviously make less money on diamonds that cost 1/3 of the price. Lab grown diamonds are indistinguishable from earth grown diamonds except in price. My recent lab grown diamond purchase cost me $1,500 the exact same spec earth grown diamond from Chalmers was over $7,000. In my opinion it would be like big oil trying to convince you that lab grown gasoline is bad and we should only buy gas from oil fields, when in reality both gasses are identical but big oil doesnt make as much money.

      Thanks for the review! We agree with most of what you've said, but we feel you need to know more. Lab grown diamonds are actually MORE PROFITABLE for every jeweler - because they are made on demand. There is an unlimited supply, and therefore worth less money every day. Your recent lab diamond purchase two years ago would have cost you $3000, and five years ago was worth upwards of $6000. Next year what will it be worth based on that information? We just believe in disclosing the declining lab diamond values before a consumer makes a purchasing decision. That's what is in the best interest of our customer. The same thing happened with lab created gemstones years ago.... and now you can buy them for just a few hundred dollars per carat. Lab created diamonds are following the same path. To be clear, we love lab grown diamonds and the profits we make on them, but we value the relationship with our customers more and feel they need to be informed! Thanks again!
