It is fine if there isn't any appointment available for an emergency passport renewal, it is fine if the support needed is not available. What it is bad (and for a government agency) when the agent on the phone starts laughing at the reason why a Passport renewal was missed. It is bad when you are told to wait for "a moment" but it turned into two+ hours. It is really bad when then, I call to the same number from another phone and I get an answer in less than a minute. Such a pity that this is the type of customer service you get, but... What do you expect from you know what?

Nobody answers, nobody answers, neither the phones nor the emails.

My passport is stuck at the Miami Passport agency (51). My locator number indicates I should have recived my passport a week ago. Ive tried calling the passport line at least a dozen times as well as attempting mitigate the issue with USPS. The passport agency websites states you can acquire an appointment within 14 days of travel, but when Ive spoken with a representative(s) they state that it must be within 5 days of travel. Im supposed to be leaving for an international trip on June 30th. Theres no direct number to this agency in Miami, only the customer service line. My only last hope is to reach out to my congressman in NY and see if he can do anything to expedite this. From what Ive gathered, Im one of many in this situation or one similar. What a shame that The Department of State is putting tax paying citizens in these situations. Shame on them, this system must be fixed.
