    Beware! Scammers! On Wednesday February 21st I entered this establishment at 5:30 p.m. I purchase a Buzz Lightyear birthday inflatable for $39 once I purchase the item I spend a few more hours at the mall. I arrived at my home at approximately 8:30pm at night once my child and I plug the Buzz Lightyear we noticed for one that the actual pump was loose which could be a potential safety hazard and the eyes and mouth of the prop were not there they were completely gone and the whole thing was faded. Today Thursday at 10 a.m. I called the number listed on Google , the receipt and the mall of the America websites. Once I started pleading my case to the lady who answered, she went on to say that they have a no return policy and all sales are final. I said to her that even though I understand this policy I purchase this item less than 12 hours ago, she never explained this policy to me and never asked me to open the box to double-check as I assume that this is not a used item. Their policy seems to be of a place that is second hand thrift store or Outlets. Once I kept on pressing her on the issue she said that the owners do not do refunds and the she is just an employee and that she cannot do anything for me that the most that I could do is send her a picture of the so-called damage. She went on to ask me if the box was sealed, I said that it had a small piece of tape and she said well that if the box was sealed that goes to show that I caused the damage. Therefore accusing me of damaging the item when I told her that anyone can do a seal like that with a small piece of tape. She went on to say that the policy is no returns. I went ahead and explain to her that if she could exchange it for the one they have in stock there or return my money. She said once again that their policy was no returns no exchanges and that I should do "what I have to do to get my money back and seek legal advice" I went on to tell her that I did not need that as I do have a master's degree in Business Law and actually teach paralegal at the University of Miami. I did not tell her that to bluff would rather of her trying to understand that she's insulting me of trying to return a damaged good. At this time she hangs up on me. Once I called again and spoke in English mind you the first conversation was in Spanish. She said to me that this was a private line a cell phone and did not understand what I was saying. I was asking for was for the owner's name in order to communicate directly with the owner and for her not to be the middle person. A few minutes later I received a text message from that same mobile number listed with the image of the one item they still have which is not damaged I called her back and said to her why did she send me that image if she is unwilling to refund my money. To brag that I basically have a broken item and my autistic 4 year old was crying for an hour about how his was broken. She explained for me to see that it's clear that I broke it and if I was a lawyer and if I had so much degrees I was not a professional that a lawyer would not scream over $40. I was not arguing over $40 I am fighting for the fact that they have no customer service and are willing to help customers when it's clear that they have sold me a damaged good she went on to say that I was in fact lying to her about my education that I had broken the item and that they do not do refunds. Therefore to everyone out there if you purchase one of their 400 or $500 packages for parties and something goes wrong you do not have the right to get your money if they do not provide the proper service or delivered damaged goods you do not have the right to grab your money go somewhere else where they respect you as a customer and understand that it's about customer service not about $40. Tried calling Mall of the Americas office to file a complaint their number is disconnected I am a Miami native, have not visited this Mall for over 20 years after this experience it reminded me why the mall is in such decay.
