I live 3 miles from this store-it's worth the 18 mile trip to Phoenix for me to ABC if I have a big project or need to stock. EVCD has become a "last resort" type of store for me because of their high prices and very unknowledgeable staff. I had a "last resort" trip over there yesterday and spent $20 on 3 bags of candy melts! I'm not sure if they realize that a lot of people that walk through their door are doing this for a living. It could really be a great store, but...! Also, I never go in there and not have to wait for them to finish a long conversation with the person ahead of me-never about decorating!!! Also, speaking of that-once again, yesterday there were 3 employees behind the counter (1 customer being helped when I walked up) and I still had to wait while they had their little chat!!! Serious home bakers are usually in a rush.

What a friendly and helpful staff. As a baking novice, the provided several helpful tips and pointed me in the right direction. I'll be back. I also left feeling positive about supporting a local business.
