This office has been one of the worst orthodontic experiences of my life. Took our two girls here, and after one orthodontist left, reluctantly started working with another doctor after she told us "she's been with Gentle Dental for a long time and has no plans to go anywhere." Well, 6 months into our girls' treatment, we show up for an appointment only to be told, "She left to start her own practice and you'll have to find another orthodontist to go to." No phone call to tell us ahead of time. This is the second time we've shown up, only to find out we don't have an appointment. The last was the when the orthodontist "switched" days. But you think this office would have the courtesy to call and tell us? Nope. Extremely disappointed.

This is long overdue! On 9/18/18, I had the BEST experience at Gentle Dental on Greenfield in Mesa. The staff was friendly, happy and professional! They explained everything in layman terms which was very helpful! Kim was so friendly on the phone before I even visited to set up my appt. Nancy and the gal that did my xrays were great dental assistants! Hats Off To the hygenist, Kelly Povar as she was always smiling and her experienced skills were so gentle in cleaning my teeth! Dr Barkett was the kindest dentist and I loved his sense of humor! Thank you for the WONDERFUL experience! If there is one suggestion I could make that would be that this office needs an immediate update to the decor, flooring, chairs, walls etc. It is not cheerful and is beyond outdated. The carpet in the waiting room is dirty also. The staff and patients deserve a comforting and appealing work environment! Plus first impressions are everything to the patient!! Thank you again! I have always been terrified of the dentist so I’m not very comfortable when there. I recently broke a tooth and went to this office for an emergency visit and was extremely anxious. Lisa, the dental hygienist, was so sweet, she did an amazing job explaining everything to me and making sure I was as comfortable as possible. Dr. Barkett is the dentist who helped me and he was just as comforting. He was very up front about everything he planned to do and made sure I was nothing but calm and comfortable. Everyone here was so helpful, from the counter staff to the dentists themselves, that I’m not even afraid to go to my next visit and that’s the first time I can say that in my entire life!
