Motel 6 Medina, OH - Cleveland

We traveled to Medina to see the solar eclipse. We were traveling with a large, well behaved dog. If you need basic accommodation, it is not fancy, that is clean and dog friendly this will definitely do. Our linens were spotless, our bed on the new side and our room clean. The staff is very friendly and kind. Jamie takes wonderful care of all the guests. There are several places to eat within safe walking distance and the location is off the major road enough to be quiet. The parking lot is well lit and we felt safe.

Absolutely one of the worst hotel/motel stays I've ever had. The shower pressure is so turned up it hurts like you're getting fire hosed , the TV I posted doesn't work at all , we paid $91 apiece for 2 rooms totaling $182 with two beds, and wound up with 1 room with two queen beds, and another with only one full size bed . So I'm sitting in this wooden chair I posted from Satan's dept store with zero cushioning that is painful to sit in . Trying to sleep sitting up, so the wife and kid can have the was supposed to be 2 queen beds that's only 1 full size, and the other family members are hopefully having it better. No fridge, no micro, no sleep . Been on the road for almost 3 days now. And a 16+ hour drive ahead of us . Will probably never stay at a Motel 6 ever again after this experience. Not blaming the chain, or even the owners. Just had a really bad experience, and I travel a lot so this is stuff that really stands out as sub par Rooms: TV didn't work, not just the remote being dead which it was, but not at all as in would not turn on? Shower was horrific. Mattress was lumpy and squeaky

Honestly I really overall was happy w my stay. The front desk staff the other evening was quite helpful! I think her name was Jaimie?? She has a great attitude and I can tell she goes above and beyond. I was in town for a wedding and the location was perfect and my room was "just enough". Rooms: Nothing terribly fancy but it was exactly what I had paid for. AFFORDABLE! Noteworthy details: Down to Earth establishment & employees are very friendly.

I would not call Motel 6 cheap; inexpensive is a better choice. I cannot be complimentary about the decor, but the rooms and hall were clean. Unfortunately, there was the cigarette odor in the hallways. The most annoying aspect of this Motel 6 was the barking dogs that made sleep difficult. On the hospitality aspect, I can understand that there was no breakfast, but coffee and pastries would have been nice. Would I recommend? No.

Stayed here for awhile and it's not too much to brag about. Rooms are decent size but did require a deep cleaning by me and my fiance before we were comfortable. Beds were great. Minor bug problem but heavy rain, the constant flow of people and pets, and being surrounded by woods contributed to it. A few restaurants in walking distance within the loop. If you are not in a car, travelling outside of the loop is highly dangerous because it's a 40 mph road with no sidewalks or shoulders and that's the only way in or out to the world. Hospitals are close by. The manager Jay is a really good person that actually cares about the guest and not just taking all their money. Jamie is the employee that every manager dreams of having. No matter the time of day, if you needed anything, she would get it done for you. Even after a 16 hour shift, she would still have a smile on her face and never seen her have an attitude or made excuses. From holding down the front desk to doing laundry to throwing down salt in the parking lot and sidewalks of the building to everything in between she does it all. She even noticed I was down and having a rough day and found me after working a 16 hour shift to check on me and make sure I was okay and being available if I needed someone to talk to. Just a very beautiful soul making people happy and outside of Jay, she single handedly keeps that place from being a zero star review. She deserves to be recognized at a corporate level for her work and
