Be very careful with these people. They messed up my billing with the insurance and will not fix it. I have called numerous times and I am either told the manager, Jennifer, will fix it right away or that she just heard about it. I am never allowed to talk to this person. They will ghost you and hope you will go away. Do not trust these people.

I chose Doctor Parimal Desai when I moved to Manassas over 5 years ago mainly due to his office proximity in regards to my home but also due to his being highly rated on multiple websites. Yes. The Woodbridge location may only have one review and at a one star rating but I am certain that it can be explained. I have been cared for by him on occasion but usually by his practitioners. I have been to numerous visits in a years time due to surgeries and every single time I have had a pleasant experience. It's kind of odd to use the word pleasant when referring to a PCP(Primary Care Provider) but a fact is a fact. They have always been knowledgeable, understanding, compassionate, empathetic and provide great medication options when needed. They can perform EKG's and do bloodwork on site which is also a plus. I have been with them as they have expanded and it has been wonderful having multiple locations to choose from if one is booked up. I need to provide you reading this with an exceptional situation to show how neat and awesome Dr. Desai himself is. My wife and I moved my mom into one of our spare bedrooms as she is over 80 and needed this. I look so highly on NVFM(Northern Virginia Family Medicine) which Dr. Desai owns and operates that I trusted him to also become my mom's PCP(Primary Care Provider), Well, due to a snafu with Medicare, we had to pay cash for the initial established care visit and her second appointment. We were promised that a form would be submitted to get reimbursed but it never happened. I was also overcharged and had a difficult time communicating it all to his billing lady Ms. Ellen Baker, as not only did we play 'phone tag' but she was focused on mom's copay after medicare paid which we did owe instead of getting us reimbursed for the issues previously mentioned in this post. After mentioning it to Dr. Desai at our last visit, he wrote down the charges, added it up, grabbed his checkbook and wrote me a check for the amount!!!!!!! What doctor would ever do that? I see over 10 doctors/surgeons in the general area due to medical issues and I am almost positive not a single one would ever do that! They have made millions over me in 5 years and most would send my account to a collection agency for $10, paying more in the end than the $10 I owe them. They have .. I will never understand the greed of it as they make soooo much money off of me but cry the blues over a few dollars and all of their mission statements/statements of purpose etc. in their business plans claim compassion compassion compassion. Well, this one doctor(Dr. Parimal) really truly does have compassion. Would not recommend any other in the area! Was that important to me that I spent almost an hour of my valuable time composing this review not only to share the story of an awesome business man and doctor but so you know that we as customers are highly satisfied with this doctor.

Without question Dr Desai and associates also Dr Julie are the best family Doctors in Northern Virginia two locations one in Mannas and one in South Riding they truly care about their patients they have been here for me for the last 6 years. My vote for #1 Family Doctor and Staff

I had an amazing visit. I felt listened to and cared about. Julie is awesome! The staff is great. I feel like im in great hands.

The only one on Dr. Desai's staff worth anything is PA Michelle Young, the rest of the staff is useless. I was diagnosed with a herniated C7 disk in Feb 2021 and needed replacement, but NP Kelly looked at my MRI that PA Michelle ordered and left me a message stating she didn't see anything abnormal but to give them a call if I continue to have an issue. All she had to do is read the notes provided by the MRI tech so that she could properly refer me to a spine specialist. The accounting staff that can't keep proper records. We continue to receive invoices for unpaid co-pays, but they will not call you back to an exam room unless you have paid the co-pay. Another issue we've been dealing with is our insurance was late paying one of my husbands office visits in March 2021 (it was paid in June 2021), but instead of posting the payment to the March 2021 visit, they created a new office visit and posted the payment to the new office visit. With all these issues I can't trust anything Dr. Desai or his staff can offer/provide.
