      image Went for eye test. Gave them insurance and they said I did not have copay. Now they are billingsaid at that time they took my insurance but now they do not. And soshort version I was covered, now later they want to bill me. Said they will resubmit. Go figure. Oh, by the way have received advertisements to come back, but never a bill.

      So, we are at a loss. We were active providers for the insurance carrier when you came for your examination but we no longer participate with that carrier. The reason we stopped accepting it is because we have great difficulty obtaining payment from them. We are going to refile the claim to make another attempt to get payment on your behalf. If you prefer to simply pay for your visit, please let us know.

      image Unfriendly and rude. They advertise all over their website and sign walk-ins welcome. I called to verify this and they said yes so I headed there. I walked-in and told the front desk person I needed a walk-in appointment. She said shook her head no and said We cant do that. I explained that I had called and checked since I knew it was a busy week for them. She said exactly it is spring break, we are booked. I can get you an appointment next month. I politely declined and at this point left. They made it very clear to me that walk-ins are not welcome so why advertise this?

      image I was searching for a New opthmalogist for my family.My husband and I haven't had eye exams in years. I chose Specs. I'm glad that I did. I was greeted by Tammy the receptionist and she was very friendly.Tammy was great she didn't rush us through the registration process and she was kind and patient with us as well.
      Randie was the one that took me back introduced herself to me. She did the first part of our exams. She was great as well .She smiled and explained what she was doing as she went through.
      Next we met Dr. Ashley Wright she introduced herself to me and explained everything she did to me even the terms I did not understand. She was quick to answer all my questions. DR. Ashley was warm and friendly and reassuring and I got the feel she and her staff really care about their patients.
      That means a lot to me and my family. This is just what I was looking for for my family. They are now who I trust with our eye health.
      Randie and Tammy I apologize in advance if I didnt spell these two sweet ladies names correctly.
      If you are looking for an eye Dr. please go see them. My experience was a pleasant one. I'm glad that we did. We were not made to feel like we were just a number. Thank you again Specs in madison.
