I have been taking yard waste to the new convenience center. They have a dumpster with a sign that says "Grindable yard waste only. " I felt good about my extra effort because I don't like the idea of wasting organic material that could be reused.
The last time I went I was directed to a garbage truck and was told that they take all the yard waste to the dump anyway.
