Very institutional vibe. The folks here are overwhelmed, under paid, or both. Their default setting is "make an appointment and come back later". Just research they are your best option for the help you are seeking. The $ they were going to charge was more than if I walked into an independent clinic.

1:30PM on 01/10/2024 I come into the facility, no one at the front desk to assist me with where I need to go. I walk around further back and a lady from the WIC department was the first to get my attention. Her attitude is unpleasant and very non chalant. Her mannerisms is as if she doesn't want to be here and she doesn't care for anything I have going on. At least she was able to tell me where I needed to go. I told her thank you and I heard a deep and snarky "Mhmm" as I walked away. I was ready to leave and go elsewhere but the lady in the Immunization department has been very pleasant to work with, patient and understanding. She approached me from behind her desk and listened to me to understand how she could help and is very thorough. Much appreciated!

I went to one of the other health departments. They were out of the shot my granddaughter needed. Not only did Ms. Latrenda Smith call the other centers, she made sure I got directions there. When we got to East Dekalb they were also very nice. Yolanda was our nurse. She knew my granddaughter was nervous, and did everything to make her calm. We were in and out in a half hour.

Less than an hour, we was in and out of there. They had the needed school shots available for my Son to receive.
