Banahan Jackie DMD - Pediatric Dentistry

We just had our first dentist appointment for our son and had the best experience with Dr. Jones! Can’t wait to make this our dental home! Everyone was so friendly and took wonderful care of him!

The new dentist, Dr. Jones, is so rude to not only her staff but to the patients as well. When bringing my son in for a sedation appointment, he would not sit still and was obviously scared. She just yelled at him and told him “I’m the boss you listen to me.” Last time i checked, I was his mother not her. Every time I come, and bring my little ones (ages 2, 3 and 5) she always talks about her “twins.” Not everyone wants to hear about your twins every time they come. We get it, you have twins. Recently, we just found out that Dr. Banahan was retiring (the whole reason we came to this practice) and now WE WILL NOT be coming back because of Dr. Jones. I had heard Dr. Banahan was one of the best pediatric doctors around, that is until I saw her trying to restrain my son!!! My son is autistic and I specially asked them to not restrain, hold him down, or anything yet she did it anyways! Both doctors seem to be very short tempered, rude, and overall not nice to the parents, patients or staff! I definitely should have read some reviews about her before coming here!!! DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN HERE UNLESS YOU WANT THEM TO BE YELLED AT BY DR. JONES AND RESTRAINED BY DR. BANAHAN! It wouldn’t surprise me if they close down because of their awful business!!!!!!!!

I recently took my 8 year old son (who is very anxious about the dentist) to see the NEW dentist, Dr. Jane Katherine Jones. I can not say enough about the quality of care and the exceptional bedside manner that Dr. Jane had with my son. She kept my son at ease throughout the entire visit and not only did he leave without any tears, he left with a smile on his face! I would highly recommend Dr. Jane!

The staff are very welcoming and accommodating! Dr Banahan is very sweet and you can tell she loves her job as well as her patients ! My daughter see Dr. Jane Katherine Jones and we adore her! My 4 year old daughter was terrified of dental procedures until we met her. Now my daughter and I will both tell you she’s the best pediatric dentist ever and she loves coming to the dentist office ! My daughter says thanks to Dr Jane Katherine she wants to be a dentist when she grows up ❤️ 10/10 would recommend !

We recently moved from Dr. Banahan's practice to a much better practice that my husband and I have seen since moving to Lexington 10 years ago. If your kids don't have anxiety about the dentist, they will after having any procedure done here. Our daughter is now absolutely terrified of the dentist, to the point we will have to give her Xanax before her next appointment. This is all because she had a cavity filled by Dr. Banahan. First, they wouldn't let a parent go back with her. Then, she said she kept trying to tell them she wasn't numb, but Dr. Banahan just kept saying you've had the medicine, you're fine, you're imagining it. Well, she wasn't imagining it, she felt everything, and now I have an 11 year old kid who used to be easy going and enjoyed her cleanings etc. and now can't step foot in a dentist office without having a panic attack. BTW, the anxiety now extends to any healthcare worker....doctor's visits, too, have become a chore. How I wish I had never stepped foot in this practice with my kids.
