      image The branch managers seem to not know exactly what they are signing you up for and are equally incompetent at problem solving. Not impressed with any of the services I received and was charged a fee for their mistake... I will never bank with key again.

      image They required me to open a checking and savings account to apply for a mortgage refi and deposit money. The mortgage refi took much longer than other banks and I decided to go elsewhere. There's no way to close out my account online (like its still 1997...) that I can see and they charge me inactivity fees and and maintenance fees every month...go to a bank that cares like a local credit union or a large online national bank.

Checking accounts are not required at all when opening a mortgage accounts with us but you do get a discount if you set up automatic payments out of a Key checking account. Any fee can be avoided. We would be happy to review the account with you and make sure your questions are answered. As far as closing an account is concerned. You can certainly request that online.
