The place looks like it is going out of business. I understand that in economic times like these, inventory might be lean, but try and make the place look appealing.
I went there to get strings. I approached the counter and saw that the string display had room for maybe 40 sets held aboud nine. Seven of those Ernie Ball Slinkys. I inquired about some Dean Markleys and the guy said he could special order them.
I also inquired about a 5 way stratocaster switch. A nearby employee tried to sell me a 3 way les paul switch. Apparently they can also special order me a strat switch. I declined and left.
Maybe I've been spoiled by having a phenominal guitar shop (Hidden Music in Palos Hills) near me for years until I moved south. I really didnt want to go to Guitar Center, but it looks like I have no choice.
