I was very disappointed at my cleaning last month. I have been a client there for years and the new hygienist did a fast superficial five minute cleaning in comparison to the thorough job the prior hygienists did. She seemed very inexperienced, had to retake my xrays twice and poked my lip a few times with the sharp dental utensil. She then took 10 minutes to polish my teeth. When I asked about the hygienist I used to have I was told they left when Dr S retired.

Dr. Frank Laga is an exceptional dentist that cares deeply about his patients. As a practicing orthodontist in north Lakeland, I was so excited to hear that Dr. Shuemaker was transitioning his practice to such a great dentist. We have collaborated with Dr. Laga on many multidisciplinary restorative cases when he was practicing for years in Winter Haven and we know that quality of his work, his attention to detail and his patient communication is second to none.

Was given a 3:30 appointment and confirmed via text. Received call @ 3:05 that I was late for 3:00 appointment. Told them I was told and received text for 3:30, was coming from Highlands City @ Combee & Main. Called office @ 3:30 to say I was at Socrum & OPC Rd and was told Id have to reschedule because it was time for their next patient. WILL NOT BE RESCHEDULING! Work for a physician. If we screwed up on an appointment, especially if patient has confirmation, we accept responsibility and see the patient (even if that means our schedule gets out of sorts). Its called Customer Service. Not a good way for new dentist to start a practice (only reason I know I was not seeing Dr Shuemaker was my husband received a letter saying he had retired).

I am very satisfied with my third visit to Dr. Sheumaker / Dr. Laga this day, he and his staff are courteous, professional and accommodating!
