Hiring Dillon with John Ross was one of the best choices we could have made for our big day. Their business model of live set + DJ is brilliant, and Dillon and Jenny were wonderful to work with. Dillon played an impeccable live set for our ceremony and cocktail hour, customized a perfect medley for walking down the isle, kept the evening moving on time as the emcee, and was able to get people on the dance floor and keep them there for the full DJ set. He was a pleasure to work with, dependable, arrived early to the venue to assure the set up was perfect, and brought all equipment that was needed. His DJ set reflected our preference list but it was clear he is a professional DJ with mastery of mashing up songs and transitioning. I would highly recommend Dillon.

There's not enough space for me to share how wonderful Kelly and the John Ross team is! We knew going into our wedding we wanted live music and a DJ - finding them in one place was amazing! Kelly was great from the very first call. He connected with what we wanted and went above and beyond to make the music be perfect day of. He played our ceremony, cocktail hour and first dance live plus they made a scratch of version of a song for the father/daughter dance. Lastly, I must say our dance floor was packed all night!!! Oh and they recorded the audio of our ceremony and toasts which was so magical and not something we were expecting!!

DJ Paul completely rocked our wedding this past April at the Blockhouse in Downtown Portland, OR. He was so communicative and easy going, we truly felt like he was part of the party. With our dance floor rocking, Paul listened to our wishes and stuck true to our playlists as well as suggestions from our guests. He added to our day and made it phenomenal!!

We loved working with Bo and John Ross Music for our wedding! They are very organized and it was easy to fill out the form they provided for must have music vs. do not play songs. We were able to keep updating it as we thought of new songs we loved. Everyone was so impressed with our music throughout the whole day. Bo played live for our ceremony and even learned some specific songs we requested. It was unforgettable! When it came to the reception, Bo was just as impressive, if not more! He checked in with us throughout the event to make sure we were happy or to see if we thought a specific song would excite the crowd. My parents and relatives commented that the sound level was perfect! They could have conversations and still enjoy the music. We had the best time and Bo made sure everyone else did as well. We hired John Ross Music, specifically Dillon, to provide musical entertainment at our wedding in October 2023. John Ross came recommended by our planner and the professionalism that they offered was extremely appreciated throughout our wedding planning process. They provided a helpful worksheet to guide our music selection and followed up regularly in the months leading up to our event to make sure we felt supported. And then, they surprised us on our one month anniversary with the recorded toasts from our reception. We didnt expect this at all and are so grateful to have those memories captured. On the day of, Dillon provided beautiful acoustic music at our ceremony in Hoyt Arboretum. His guitar and singing perfectly matched our ceremony vibe, especially given the limitations on sound equipment in that space. At our reception venue, Dillon cultivated a mixture of DJd music and acoustic sets throughout the cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. It was such a treat to have the live music, and Dillons skills on the guitar were incredible. We had provided him some guidance regarding our musical vibe, and Dillons playlists were absolutely perfect. Several times songs came on that we hadnt specifically requested but that are our favorites. It felt like hed read our mind! He also provided the perfect amount of MC-ing. We asked for an unobtrusive MC to keep the night flowing and Dillon did just that. He kept all of our guests on the dance floor all night and even played the exact end-of-night song wed asked for as we exited our reception.
