image Very professional and responsive management company. I was interested in one of the properties that Klein manages. From showing me the the apartment to signing the lease their professionalism was top-notch. I always received quick responses and detailed info. Ultimately I had some personal issues arise and could not move in. Lisa worked with me and the owner to make sure the process wasn't contentious and we came to an amicable agreement. I would highly recommend Klein Property Management whether you are a renter or an owner.

image This world typically does not give you second chances, however Brian did just that for our family. Our family fell on hard times a few years ago and it's been difficult to recover. We were desperately looking for a new rental in the Orange County area. Brian took time to listen to our situation and went above and beyond to help us. image This company is the worst! My family and I rented a condo from them for 2 yrs. They falsely advertised the property as having forced air heating and AC both of which were broken upon move in. Also the sink in the bathrooms had low pressure due to bad aerators and the pipes under the sink in the master bedroom leaked (After waiting several days I made the repair myself and they closed the work order). The kitchen disposable had a latex glove caught in it, the electrical had a bad breaker, the dryer vent was full of lint from years of neglect, only had one working smoke detector that went bad after a few months, no carbon dioxide detector installed and really bad dry rot which although unnoticeable during our initial move in walk through was immediatley identified by the association termite company within weeks after move in. Although they responded about the dry rot it never got fixed and the other maintenance requests regarding the plumbing, electrical and HVAC never were addressed or responded to. Upon moving out they tried to charge us for remodeling the kitchen & entry floor which had 3 old layers of vinyl identified by their own contractor who replaced all of it with one new layer then Klein billed us $1,292.00. They complained the carpet was in really bad shape even though it had been cleaned by a professional company, had no spots and only showed normal signs of wear and tear on renters grade carpet. They billed us $180 to have another carpet cleaner come out and do the job again! They also hired an unethical handyman who has no DBA with the county or contractors license and billed us an outrageous $720 for labor and $142 in parts. You may ask why does this matter well in the great state of California handyman are not allowed to charge over $500 on a single job.They can't even divide the job up into several days to go over this $500 maximum limit per state law. This law is to protect the consumer and the sad part is the handyman billing a total of $862 was for replacing 1 set of vertical blinds which by industry standard takes about 20-30min and 2 sets of horizontal blinds which should take 10-15min a piece. He also repaired one bi-fold door by gluing in the rolling pin and securing the track. This type of repair should take about 30 min. For reference it takes 3-4hrs to replace a set of new bi-fold doors. We moved out on Sept. 16th 2020 and spent over a week cleaning the unit. I met with Carol Klein on Sept 27, 2020 at 10:30 am. I know it was on Sept 27 because its marked on my calander and this was on Sunday which my wife and I serve at our church so I had to leave before 1st service was over and return after to watch 2nd service and pack up. I received the itemized deduction sheet after the allowed 21 days and even had to send them a reminder email. Carol told the property owers that I had fully agreed to paying for the damages we had allegedly caused and that she met with me Sept 29, 2020 so as to avoid being in trouble for getting the itemized deduction sheet to us late. And how do I know the law so well is because I'm in the cleaning and restoration industry and was priorly a handyman for over 10yrs! Also my father is an attorney so it doesn't hurt to know the law or have someone on your side! Not sure what brought you to my review and you maybe looking into what seems to be a great property but trust me once you sign the lease they will forget all about you and will do anything to cover their own butts. Don't just take my word for it look at the other reviews and decide for yourself.  I will say there is one nice person working there by the name of Lisa. She seems to be the only one that knows how to properly return phone calls and emails but sadley she is not authorized to schedule repair requests without owner approval! Beware of this company they are bad news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

image Really positive experience during my 3+ year stay at the Maple Ave apartments in Costa Mesa. The staff was helpful whenever I had a need for things to be taken care of. One minor note that I don't feel dings the perfect rating is there's a roach problem in the kitchen area. I tried a few times to have it addressed, but it required myself and my neighbor to clean out our kitchen areas at the same time to coordinate when to have the exterminators come in and clean both at the same time. But for future residents, just be sure to ensure that they have sprayed the unit for roaches and you'll be golden. Walking distance to literally everything you need. You're 2 blocks away from the freeway, gated parking (please mind that there are transients out on the street because of nearby food banks and shelters, but a lot of the time it's always new faces around temporarily, and I never dealt with a malicious person at all my entire time there.) Neighbors are nice and keep to themselves. It's a nice quiet and quaint place. If you're looking for a great and convenient place to live, then definitely consider the Maple Apt with Klein.
