One month after having my daughter I had applied for Randstad and I was almost immediately called in! Having being currently employed at the time I wanted to fill out an application and have another job lined up before putting in my two weeks notice. The woman Meesha (staffing agent) had promised me after many times asking her that I would be guaranteed 40 hours a week and that it would definitely be okay to go ahead and resign from my current job. So a few weeks went by and I got a call from her saying for me to go in, turns out when I had gotten to the place that they had employed me at they inform me that I would only be filling in for people who call out sick! It's been two months now and I still haven't gotten one phone call! I just can't believe how someone could lie to a person that clearly stated that she had just had a child and needed to work for her child, about hours! I am now out of a job due to this woman lying to me! It was too late to take my former job back and now I am unemployed. I would not recommend going to this staffing agency unless you are okay with working little to no hours, it may have only been my situation but I would like to share it in case this might happen to someone else!
