DO I purchased homeowners contents insurance with Katy Larsen for over 20 years. I paid an extra premium because I wanted $100,000 coverage for the contents of my condominium. I trusted her implicitly and paid my (high)  premiums on time each year. Fast forward to the end of 2020, beginning of 2021. My policy was still in effect when I moved from San Francisco to New York City. The movers irreparably damaged over $50,000 worth of my belongings. After the movers refused to pay, I contacted Katie and filed a claim with her as I was still covered.I was told to file my claim with the insurance company itself, and was referred to a claims adjuster who refused my claim completely due to a "technicality in my contract". I reached out to Katie for help as she was my agent (I also insured my car with her) and I assumed she would make it right. Initially she was as outraged as I was and promised to fight on my behalf. Shortly there after, I received an email from her, not even a phone call, letting me know that I would not, in fact, receive a dime from Farmers Insurance.what a coward! Not only did she not go to bat for me, she did not have the decency to call me to talk about it.Do not put any money inshysters pocket. Also, avoid farmers insurance as they are a scam.
