I've stayed at this hotel over a dozen times. At first, I liked it. The property seemed new and clean, and a quick drive to the north side of La Crosse, Onalaska, and Holmen. However, over a year and a half, I saw a lack of maintenance set in, coupled with a change in some staff members. Eventually, maintenance requests noted in the post-stay surveys I completed were not heeded, and a lack of cleanliness has now prompted me to stay elsewhere when visiting the area. That said, the Swing Bridge Pub/Restaurant attached to the hotel is good. Food & drinks: The Swing Bridge Pub attached to the hotel has good food. There's also a bar/restaurant across the parking lot that has good burgers. There's a Kwik Trip convenience store one block south with a variety of food/beverage options.

The swimming pool was frigid. When I asked the front desk person to rectify the situation, they told me that with the chemicals they use, they have to have the temperature that cold or people would get sick?? That is a direct quote. Idk about getting sick, but I do know hypothermia does kill people. My 3 y.o. granddaughter had blue lips after just 15 minutes in the pool. Second hotel visit in the last 4 months, both of them refused to fix the pool temperature. Definitely won't be going back.
