It has been incredibly frustrating dealing with the Rush since Gold's Gym took over. Poorly managed does not even come close to describing the ineptitude that Gold's demonstrates. This sentiment is echoed not only by customers, but also by many of the employees that I have interacted with. Like most gyms, the Gold's model is focused on getting new customers. Once you are locked in, you become nothing more than an inconvenience to them. Try to find a corporate email contact for Gold's Gym. Go ahead; do a Google search. You likely won't find anything. This is because they don't want to be bothered with complaints, suggestions, etc. If you have a problem get ready to hear "there is nothing we can do" over and over. Nothing says I don't care about customers more than a nonchalant "there is nothing we can do" whenever an issue arises. The Rush had its problems, but Gold's seems to have found a way to identify all of the bad characteristics and made them exponentially worse. Kudos to you Gold's! If you want more evidence of the sterling reputation that Gold's Gyms has earned amongst the business community and its customers, take a look at its BBB rating. "On a scale of A+ to F" Gold's Gym gets an "F", based on more than 700 BBB validated complaints. Gold's also earned an "F" grade based on its failure to respond to nearly 200 complaints.

Had a year long contract at this location with my girlfriend, and we both enjoyed going here. The spinning classes were almost always very energetic and fun, and the machines were in pretty good shape. However they get serious negative marks for the process when we had to cancel our contract because we were moving. Went into the actual location and worked with Matt F. who filled out the "Request to Stop Membership Dues" mostly for us. However he left out my girlfriend's name and membership number, so only half of the membership was cancelled. After realizing this a few months out I called the customer service number to fully cancel the account and hopefully get a refund (since we were 2-3 states away). Sadly the customer service rep said they could cancel it but since neither my girlfriend name, nor membership number was on the cancellation form, there was nothing they could do. So be warned! It's a decent gym, but when you want to get out make sure you fully pay attention to the paperwork and not just trust the person you talk to!
