Key West Flats & Backcountry Fishing Charters

Captain Mike was great. We went yesterday and it was a little cloudy but very little wind and no rain so weather cooperated. My husband caught 7-9 barracuda and I caught 10-12 snapper and one pin fish. The bigger fish werent biting yesterday but we still had a great time. Captain Mike was very professional and knew where to go and how to teach the proper fishing techniques. I would definitely book with Captain Mike again.

My wife and I had a great time fishing with Mike. Caught a few mackerel and small jack then took us to the flats, which was beautiful(fishing aside). Mike put us on a bunch of Jack, had a few hit but were never able to hook up- but there was definitely a lot of opportunities/action going on. Mike is very knowledgeable and would recommend anyone looking for a half or full day fishing experience to check it out! Thanks again Mike

I always wanted to try fishing the flats so booked a half day with Captain Mike last week. Mike is a true professional and made me and my wife feel very comfortable on his boat. The weather brought South wind and clouds and was clearly not on our side that day, but Mike tried several spots, tirelessly poling us around the flats looking for fish. We did see one nice Permit that ran for deeper water, and Mike saw a few puffs of mud that were likely bonefish, which kept things exciting, but I clearly needed more experience to get good at seeing those fast enough to get a bait to the right spot. I really appreciated that Mike took time to coach my wife into catching some smaller fish in the nearby channels which very much made her day! Next time I visit Key West I will gladly book again with Mike, but will do the full day and pray for better weather to improve our odds of hooking a Permit or Tarpon. Many thanks to Mike for his hard work and hospitality! We really did enjoy this amazing experience.
