If possible I would give them negative 10 stars. Really awful experience trying to complete a seasonal snowboard rental transaction. It's been a long time since I felt so offended and belittled by a retail salesperson. And, it appears this is not just a happen chance bad day , my wife also had the same experience both on the phone and again in person. Unreal how rude this person was and what is even more troubling is I think it is one of the owners. The kind of experience where you want to tell everyone you know how disrespectful the owners of this place are and to never shop there. To be sure , we are area locals and have been customers of Bothell Ski and Bike for a long long time. We have been renting ski gear from them for our four kids since they learned to ski, starting about 12 years ago. I've purchased six bicycles from them. We've purchased all sorts of bike and ski gear over the years and I've always directed friends there because we have had a good experience. They are not the best deal by a Longshot but we like to support local businesses. If you see the short and somewhat squat short haired late 40s male who sits in the back office to the side with a somewhat smug look on his face this is the guy. Not sure if he is having a hard time in life right now or what but I'm taking my business elsewhere. Demeaning arrogant and full of attitude.

I had a very positive experience with the bicycle service department. Other local bicycle stores suggested a brake bleed would require they take my bike for a week. When I took my bike in to Bothell Ski and Bike, I was greeted by friendly staff and then Eric in the service department just fixed the issue straight away, 10 minutes max. Additionally he offered a lot of valuable maintenance and set up advice and answered all of my questions with patience and attention. Before leaving we noticed another minor set up issue on the bike and Eric fixed it on the spot at no additional charge. Speaking of which, as the brake bleed was straight forward, they charged me a discounted price, very honest behavior in my opinion, and a smart way to make loyal customers. Wonderful experience, I was very impressed.
