Portage Ophthalmology

I had called to make an appointment at my regular ophthalmologist and it was a six month wait. I called Potage Ophthalmology and was able to be seen in a couple of weeks. I just had my cataract on my second eye this week. Wow it went so smoothly and I would recommend Dr Abdulhak to everyone. I still cant believe I dont need glasses after wearing them for 50 years. I had the surgery done at the Surgery Center. The doctor and nurses thru the whole process from first visit to the actual surgeries were excellent.

Had a good appointment but needed a critical question answered a few weeks later and complete lack of any response from doctor or office. I emailed the dr directly, followed up with phone calls to make sure emails (2) were rcvd, and assured by staff he would get my message. Never heard anything back from anyone. I understand he's busy, but told staff i'd be happy to pay for an an appt for the phone time it would take the dr to respond to my question. Still nothing. Done.

Do not go to this facility unless you plan on waiting over an hour. First appointment, I waited for 2 and a half hours to be seen by the doctor. The explanation was "an emergency appointment". Today was my follow up appointment, after waiting an hour, I asked the staff if they knew how much longer it would be and she was extremely rude and said "he will get around to you". Another ten minutes go by and I go to front desk and asked for the office manager. They said they don't have one. I finally asked for my copay back and left.

Dr. Abdulhak and his staff are amazing. I was very nervous about my cataract surgery. I felt more at ease after meeting the Doctor and his office staff. Everyone was very positive and encouraging. I knew after my first visit that I was in good hands. Thank you everyone! It is so nice to see colors and details that I have not seen in years. I highly recommend Dr. Abdulhak.

I would highly recommend anyone needing professional and expertise care for their eyes I would highly suggest they try this office professionalism and courtesy I'm very happy this is one of the better choices I would definitely give this office a 10
