It must have been off day because it was not a pleasant experience for me. I would prefer to calmly walk through the museum read the signs and ask questions after the tour. Soon as i walked in I was met by a man who walked with me the entire time trying to explain the people in the photographs. Sorry, but I am unable to read and listen at the same time.
Please leave people alone and let them walk through at their own pace. As a side note, I did mention my unpleasant experience with a local resident who agreed and said he had heard the same comments.

I should also mention that my wife, Dodie, is in the museum, as well as her sister Tracy (Lewis)Bird 🐦. Sometimes you will find Tracy there volunteering!

A museum for anyone interested in the history of the region. Although the museum itself may not look like much, the artifacts and collections of ranch, rodeo, and agricultural memorabilia is classic Americana. The guides are extremely knowledgeable, and have a personal connection to may of the figures see in the museum. Worth the $3 admission whether stoping by for 20 minuets or a couple hours.

Great for getting a feel for the history of Grant County. Guides are local and knowledge through personal details and experience of living here.
