What a gem of a place for a beautiful walk in the woods and fields. Can't believe I haven't found this place before. My wife and I enjoyed visiting on a sunny Saturday in February. The place is very large with many, well marked trails. Some of the signs were not in very good shape and were difficult to read, however the signs with trail info were great. The vast majority of the trails are wide and where there is boardwalk, the lumber is generally in very good shape. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Some things age like fine wine and this is one of those places. I remember school trips here when I was a kid and honestly the place as a whole hasn't changed much. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are changes my kid brain can't remember  I hiked the trails today on this melty Michigan day. The outer loops is 3.2, but if you take some of the other paths as well you can easily stretch it to 4.5 or a little more. Nothing beats marked paths, fresh air and some scenery. I'll be back to hike again in the spring/summer when things are more bright and cheery. Also I stopped inside briefly for both nostalgia and to see if they had a lost n' found. Staff was welcoming and friendly.
