I went to Dr Claxton for a tooth ache that had been bothering me. I ended up having the tooth pulled. He did a wonderful job. It was painless as having a tooth pulled can be. He talked with me through the entire procedure. His voice was very calming. The staff is very friendly. He will definitely be my dentist from now on.

He removed my wisdom teeth about 20 years ago. I'm surprised to see very few reviews and bad ones at that. He was very caring of me and it wasn't traumatic. I'd had a very bad experience in CA as a kid having a tooth removed. This was a great experience, minus my bruised face and black eye that I still don't blame him for. One tooth was impacted & I'm sure he did his best to get it out. I'll be back to see you doc for a cleaning and then and update this review so Yelper know the facts.

This guy is the worst! He has no idea what he is doing. He broke a dental tool in my root canal. It is still there, 12 years later. I found out when I had to have the root canal redone. He never told me!! I had the worst experiences of my life at this dental office. This guy is a joke. Do yourself s favor and go anywhere else!! Less than one star.

Staff was nice, but Dr. Claxton insisted I had 8 cavities that needed to be filled, after getting 4 taken care of, I moved to another city and found out I didn't have any cavities in the 4 teeth that he filled or the other 4 I didn't have done. Rip off!

Dirty, cluttered office that has a strong moldy smell upon entering- probably coming from the two aquariums that need to be cleaned. The chairs, furniture and X-ray machine are all antiquated and look like they have been there since the 60s or earlier. I almost walked right back out of the door but had gotten time off of work specifically to get my teeth checked. The dentist barely looked at my teeth and based all of his diagnosis straight from my X-ray. I was told that I had two cavities, but when I got to the front to check out they told me I had 7. My teeth "cleaning" was sub par at best (I felt like I needed to brush my teeth afterwards!), and the hygienist crammed the sharp xrays blocks into my gums bc she seemed to be in a great hurry. The receptionist was pushy and explained things quickly. I am definitely getting a second opinion elsewhere and will not be back.(Update) the office staff refused to give me a copy of my x-rays without paying a$60 fee, which is fine with me- seems to be really high but I was willing to pay it- then they tell me that I can't even get a copy of my X-ray until my insurance pays the $200 for them, which happened to be a month later. Total BS, they were just trying to be snarky about it and I chose to just get new ones taken at my awesome new dentist office, Gentle Dentistry of Las Colinas!!!
