As an auto service shop owner in Cedar Rapids, just a short drive from Iowa City, finding reliable salvage yards has been a real challenge. Luckily, Ace Auto Recyclers has been a godsend! Always stocked, always helpful: Ace seems to magically have it on hand. Their staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making every interaction a pleasure. They genuinely remember me by name, even if it's been months since my last visit! Beyond the parts: Ace doesn't just sell parts; they offer solutions. They've taken me into the yard to compare parts from different vehicles, helped me source specific components from wrecked cars, and even let me measure parts off a straight car to ensure a perfect fit on the wrecked one. Safety first: While they have tires available, safety is their top priority. They understand that most salvaged tires aren't reliable due to accidents, age, or dry rot. This commitment to safety puts my mind at ease. The Ace team: Ken, Bart, Jay, and Cole are the stars of the show at Ace. They're incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and always happy to go the extra mile. While I miss one of them who moved closer to home (best wishes!), the rest of the team keeps me coming back.
