Spirited Cyclist Bike Shop

After lukewarm responses from other bike shops (who were simultaneously complaining about too much inventory), I took my one-page resume of bicycling history, wants, needs, etc., to Spirited Cyclist and Derrick Rorrer read it completely. Expecting to immediately be shown bikes, Derrick surprised me by gently asking me several questions to sharpen the info on my page. He then brought me a bike and asked me what I observed about it. When I'd exhausted my list, he offered several other facts to consider. I was ready for a test ride and he, again, surprised me by coming along for the ride. He varied the routes so that I could get used to the bike and its capabilities. He then departed and left me to ride alone. By the time I returned, Derrick had prepared a review of several options within the model class. My bike arrived in 1 week and was waiting for me when I returned from vacation. The staff made a big deal of my purchase and celebrated with me with a fun sign board and shared knowledge of "Nick's New Bike Day." As a retired health care provider, Derrick's approach was so intuitive, interested, empathic, and warm that I was absolutely overwhelmed by his humanity. In a world dominated by the testosterone-fueled shredders of Road, XC, and MTB, the shop's vibe and staff's welcoming attitude are REFRESHING!

Listen..These guys made my major purchase of a top end bike the best experience ever..We are family now..Will, Steve and Derek...From helping me transition to clipless, setting up my trainer, to even playing my music[ I am a musician] when I came to pick my bike up..There is nothing superficial..These guys are real and passionate about cycling and customer service..Shableek

Highly recommended bike shop! Today me, and my son visited the shop to look for a new bike for him. The staff there spent around an hour, allowing us to try different bicycles, and explaining all of the features and benefits of each bike. After about an hour, we walked out with a brand new bike for my son, and a great experience! Thank you so much Spirited Cyclist! You guys rock!

I cannot say enough good things about the crew at the Spited Cyclist in Huntersville. Everyone I interacted with was extremely helpful and friendly. They walked me through multiple options and helped me select the RIGHT bikes for our entire family. A far superior experience compared to the big box stores! Definitely my go-to place for all things bike related moving forward.
