Do NOT waste your money on short term disability with this company. My doctor took me off from work because of a high risk pregnacy. They approved my fmla but denied my short term disability beneifts even though I paid 3 years for benefits even though my doctor provided a bookload of reasons why i could not work. Metlife is quick to take your paycheck but refuse to give the money back when yoh need it the most. This company is a total scam! You are better off putting money in a savings account until you need it. Please dont waste your money...

Website is terrible and never works. Always on hold for 30+ minutes and then half the time it automatically hangs up the phone after 20 minutes of being on hold.

MetLife has taken money for a life insurance policy on my father since 1980. My father passed away 3 months ago and I'm still fighting to get my money. They keep requesting the same form that I have submitted 3 times now. To date 6-2-20 I just received another request for the same form. My next step is to contact the Insurance Commissioner and file a complaint.

The worse experience ever with them on my short term disability. I regret changing from Aflac to MetLife. They're rude, refuse to allow me to speak to any supervisor, and when I asked to file a complaint I got the run around.
