Unimpressed and depressing.
First server in the cocktail lounge was not trained or ready to be on the floor. Moved to a dining room table, first server came over to bother us either due to lack of communication or unable to read social cues. Roger finally got service going and did a great job. Finally someone who knows he works in SERVICE.
Management team is really poor and unapologetic. The food is awful. Spend your $300+ elsewhere and go to Pappadeaux or Steak48.

First time attending the Easter Brunch buffet at Willie G's; normally, we try to attend a buffet that's closer to home. The clam chowder, salmon and French Quarter oysters were excellent, and the family member enjoyed the bacon wrapped shrimp. Other items on the brunch menu included raw oysters, chilled shrimp, egg omelet medley atop crispy tortilla chips, enchiladas with green chile sauce (or tomatillo sauce), macaroni and cheese, chicken nuggets, deviled eggs, kale salad (delicious), cheese grits, french toast with banana compote, bacon (family member thought they were too crisp), pork sausage patty and pork link sausage. The dessert tower provided a choice of mini cheesecakes, bread pudding, and other delectable treats to sample. The family member enjoyed their margarita - prepared with an extra shot of Jose Cuervo, and our attendant, Mark, was excellent and provided our requests in a timely manner. The waitstaff kept our glasses filled, and the family member enjoyed Willie G's water so much that they received a cup to go .
If the Easter brunch event is featured annually, the only request I would have is to expand the 'square footage' of the room. This would provide space for the staff to refill the trays and for guests to obtain their choice of cuisine. I noticed there wasn't a carving station either - so I hope the location we normally dine at on Easter won't consider removing that option (to cut costs).
Total for two at the Easter brunch: $135 before tip, which is just slightly more than the location we normally dine at. There are dining and drink events at Willie G's worth reviewing, so we would consider dining there again if we were in the area.
Photos show the cuisine and dessert - which went quickly. Before leaving, I noticed a bowl of fresh fruit (blueberries, strawberries and raspberries) near the french toast that was not available when I selected items from the brunch line. I missed taking the photo of the bowl.
