In October 2023, Woody's installed a Valcourt fireplace at my home to retire an obsolete and questionable Preway originally installed in 1983. Wife and I chose Woody's because of their complete showroom, exhaustive price quote, total attention to detail, and managers Bill and Dee Carney's patiently answering our many questions. Paid about twice what others had quoted but it was worth it. The crew (Bill, Jamie, and Brian) took three days to install the unit, leaving nothing undone. To comply with fireplace manufacturer's standards and National Fireplace Institute code, this involved rebuilding the lower portion of the chimney chase, expertly elevating an outer-wall header, and installing fireproof panels -- plus floor-to-ceiling decorative stone (transforms the room) and a new hearth. The crew was prompt, friendly, polite, considerate, responsive, careful and, above all, skilled. And the fireplace heats our small saltbox very well.

I bought my second jotul in 27 years from Woody's. It wasn't running correctly after three months so Bill came out and troubleshot it, found and fixed the problem so my new jotul is running like it's supposed to. Great job and just in time for the snow that's coming. Many thanks.

I was facing a possible expensive fix to my coal stove. However after talking with a staff at Woody's I checked the condition of bricks. Internet prices to replace bricks was breath taking. Woody's however had bricks I needed and for under $65 my house is warm again.

Even though I had no idea what I was doing and really wasn't sure if I'd be buying anything, the owner was so helpful. So informative. Super patient with my lack of knowledge. She even suggested an amazing company to fix my problems with my woodstove's terracotta insert that was cracking and collecting creosote. My families safety was paramount. J&J Chimney Services, who she recommended, did an amazing job for an amazing price. I can't thank you all enough for the peace of mind I have now that it's all taken care of. Thank you so much.
