The Treasure Club Hickory, NC

I have been here a few times and never need to post a review so badly. I was there last Friday and the music was terrible. We could not understand anything the DJ was saying. It was just noises coming from the mic. I been there on days when Brian the other DJ is there and it's like night and day. He speaks clearly. The ladies don't have to pause the conversation to see if they are next on stage. And the music played is up to date and fitting for the customers to enjoy the dances from the ladies. Should have Brian there on the weekends.

Just because it's more expensive, doesn't make it better. A basic lap dance will cost you $25, private rooms range from $120 to $670. My worst gentleman's club experience happened in this club's most expensive room. Furthermore, this club has a strong tendency to lose its best girls to other establishments; most of the girls you'll see on its Instagram account aren't even there anymore. As a result, the quality of lap dances and private room experiences alike tends to be mediocre at best, and traumatizing at worst. The atmosphere here is quite divey for my taste. The ambient lighting is too low, making the TVs and strobe lights that much more headache-inducing. While background music isn't normally something I mention in my reviews, this club's music will drive you bonkers. One of their usual DJs seems to have the musical IQ of a Zune; he plays the same set of songs over and over, and they're not the kinds of songs you'll want to hear over and over. And unlike similar establishments, booth-style seating is not complimentary here. Do you like the idea of sitting beside your favorite girls, maybe putting your arm around them if they say it's okay? If so, you'll either have to pay $250 for bottle service, or $200 for a "black card". Seriously. Speaking of the "black card", there was an incident wherein black card holders were suddenly denied VIP seating, a key benefit of the black card which was advertised on posters inside the club. I spoke to a few folks who worked at the club about the club's decision, and one of them said that the club had decided to reserve the former VIP seating area exclusively for bottle service, because the club was having trouble selling bottle service. I had only gotten the black card so I could sit beside my favorite girls like I mentioned above, and the fact that a new seating area for black card holders was not made available until 6 months later left me feeling like I had wasted my money. I can't speak for other black card holders (current or former), but I received no compensation for this loss of advertised benefits. It seems to me that The Treasure Club is the Roseanne Barr of gentleman's clubs; the more popularity it has attained, the more outrageous it has become. Founded with a strong vision of hospitality-focused adult entertainment, it has now gone blind in record time. If you're looking for a good gentleman's club experience in the Hickory area, I strongly recommend going to Thee Playhouse instead. At Thee Playhouse, a private room won't set you back more than $300, and comfortable banquette seating is included with the price of admission.
