image I have always dreaded going to the dentist and stopped going for a long time. I am so glad I found this office! Everyone Ive met that works in the office is compassionate and personable. Dr. Pope is fantastic as well. He is competent and provides excellent care but is also a really nice guy. Going to the dentist is no longer a negative experience. Highly recommend for anyone needing a new dentist!

image I went to Pope Family Dentistry a few years back for an evaluation , they said my teeth were basically riddled with cavities. They also said that I did not need the full cleaning (not sure what that means). Anyways I came out with an estimate well over 1000 $. I shortly lost dental insurance after that. I recently went to get my teeth evaluated for nearly free at a school. My teeth were checked literally by 4 different people. 3 of them being professional hygienists and dentist. They said I needed more xrays than the one done by pope he didnt even get everything and I had 0 cavities. ZERO. Also my teeth needed and extensive cleaning. Pope is a crook.

image My husband and I have seen Dr. Pope and his office for roughly two to three years. My husband had a worse experience than I, and left to go to a different practice long before me, however I wish I'd done the same. Let me clarify, Dr. Pope is always wonderful and friendly, however our experience with his office staff is awful. Individually my husband and I have needed to reschedule our appointments well before the 24 hour notice, and was basically scolded and told they would drop us if it happened again. Mind you, this wasn't a "no show" or even a cancellation altogether, just to request a reschedule due to work and other outside factors. The way the office staff will speak to you is incredibly rude and I put up with it longer until my last appointment. It was for a regular teeth cleaning, and it was at 3:00. (I'm looking for a job and had an important interview at 4:00 that same day, luckily I live 10-15 minutes away from the dentist and wasn't terribly worried since it was a virtual interview.) I arrive to the dentist office at 2:35 and check in, not worried or even expecting to be seen early. I brought a book and set up in the waiting room. 3:00 comes and goes, 3:05, 3:10, and finally I get up at 3:15. I tell the lady at the front that unfortunately I have to go, as I have a job interview at 4:00, and my appointment was at 3:00. She doesn't apologize for the experience or the fact they were running late, she said "Well we make your appointment for the whole hour, your appointment is from 3-4." Who runs an office like that? It's not like I've scheduled maintenance out to my home and they give me a general time they'd be out there like between 9:00 and 2:00... I already felt bad and in a perfect world I wouldn't have had the interview so close to the appointment but it was the only time I could and still work with the interviewer schedule. The lady at the desk then passes me over to the other office worker, and gets up and goes to tell whoever was running late that I would not be staying. They yelled out to each other "Yeah she is not staying." And it was embarrassing. I understand things happen, and people run behind. What bothers me and my husband is how the office staff will treat you, and talk to you. This situation above was my last straw, and I told them to not bother rescheduling the appointment. Dr. Pope, you've always been wonderful, but I'm not alone in how your office staff and reception treats and speaks to clients.

image This is hands down the best dental experience I've had in my life. They were punctual with my appointment and entire staff was friendly and personable. I felt heard about my concerns, they took a personal interest, and the appt didn't feel rushed.
If they're in your network I'd definitely recommend!!
