Yes, he has the skills, but more importantly he has the passion to restore and refurbish. His ability to repair and renew wood furniture that has been abused is amazing. update: 'just had an experienced Steinway refinisher come do a thorough check on the piano, and he was pretty adamant that it was up to the quality of Steinway's own refinishing jobs. The level of praise couldn't have been much higher than that. This is indeed a 5 star quality job. original: It looks good. I didn't pay for it, but this 1927 piano was matted black and has a number of gouges. Despite the deep gouges, they managed to make this Steinway turn out nicely :) I'm giving them 5 stars out of courtesy, as I didn't pay for the service and don't know what to expect. I don't see any flaws in their work, though. I'm not an excellent judge of these things, so it wouldn't be fair to give less than 5 stars for a job that I don't see any flaws in.
