I walked into the store with a Virgin Mobile phone where the screws came off and the top screen broke off the keypad. I still had all the screws. The store I usually went to on Chevy Chase and Glendale was closed for the holiday. I walked in and explained that I had a 1-year warranty and needed a replacement phone. He kept saying, "No warranty. No. No such thing. You have insurance?" I said, "No, Why would I need insurance when I have a warranty?" He said, "No! No warranty. You buy new phone." I said, "... no....Can I please call Virgin Mobile?" He threw his hands up, pacing back and forth and looking down, totally unable to provide any service. I said, "Can you give me their number at least?" I had my sexy boyfriend's iPhone. (Once my iPhone. No screws fell out of that.) He said, "I can't help you." I said, "I know YOU can't help me but I do need help so can I have the number please?" He recited the number once, very fast. I dialed and set up camp at the counter with my Naked Juice. They told me I needed to call another number (of course) and was I ready to write it down. I asked the clerk for a pen, but he pretended to not hear me and texted on his phone, so I grabbed the pen off his desk and wrote down the number. Called. Found out I do have a warranty and the new phone would be shipped to me in 2 business days. I asked about a replacement phone since I need my phone for work. They advised I buy a cheap one and return it when I get my new phone. I thanked him. Hung up. The clerk looked up fro his phone at me. I picked up my Naked Juice, walked out and drove to the Target on Colorado (not far at all) for a $10 replacement phone and a nice kid who answered my questions. IT'S AMERICA, BUDDY! Not a flea market.
