Last year we relocated to Phoenix from Atlanta. Coming from a highly rated public school in Atlanta, we had high expectations from Adam's in terms of curriculum and teachers.I must say we are more than happy with everything here. My kids really love their homeroom teachers and well adjusted in the school. My personal experience with teachers and admin staff is really great.

In 2019-2020 school year, my Kindergartener was enrolled in ATA, and our experience the 1st year went fairly well. For instance, when I had questions regarding any topic, the KG teacher was accommodating to parents and students; as a result, the Parent-Teacher-Student relationship was great. During the pandemic 2020-2021 school year, there was a new Principal, Administration, AND Teachers. My 1st grader was placed w/a new teacher who was in need of further training, so I kindly brought up the teacher's ongoing errors (which multiple students pointed out, and I (a parent) confirmed this error from my observation and I provided proof) to her via e-mail, the teacher seemed to have ignored my email. Later on with no response, I had forwarded the email expressing my concerns for the students' education, and that the new teacher (Modesto) may take her training seriously. However, the Principal (Schorer) said she will investigate, but she justified the teacher and disregarded my and a student's concern. I requested that the student transfer to a well-trained 1st-grade teacher, and although the students' transfer was granted, the 1st-grade teacher (Curren) was unprofessionally rude towards me the parent). In fact, I had received a mobile notification showing a Facebook Notification from Elizabeth Kelly-Curren 'Liked' one of my family videos, but once I opened up my FB app and clicked on the notification via FB, she blocked me because she stalked me and accidentally tapped 'Like'. Now in 2021-2022 school year, 2nd-grade students have expressed his/her complaints to his/her parents regarding the teacher's (Parker) behavior: - Students becoming uncomfortable when Parker sits w/her legs open in a skirt/dress which shows her underwear - very inappropriate. - Students feeling belittled/bullied when Parker says aloud to a student, "You're the smartest student in my class." "Did you take your medication?" etc. - Daily, Parker shares personal stories irrelevant to students' education, then students try to share their story, BUT Parker responds, "This isn't storytime, so we will not be hearing your stories." - Parker ran a Club during Quarter 3, and she announced, "NONE of the students are allowed to snack." yet Parker's child (also an ATA student) ate in front of everyone. Overall, the ATA Staff will mistreat/bully/harass whomever they choose, for high authority will justify all ATA Staff instead of holding ATA accountable. That said, students well-being is NOT guaranteed.

Editing to include more recent experiences. I would also like to add that I now have 4 children at ATA, K-5th. The current administration is spectacular. We love our teachers and our school. Highly recommend ATA! February 2022 This morning I had an experience with my children that I feel compelled to share with you. Today is a half day and on half days I promise my kids donuts from our favorite local shop. When we arrived, my children went to a table while I waited in line to place our order. As I waited, I started to hear one of them singing and I shh'd her until I heard what she was singing. One of my daughters, Emma, was standing in front of an American flag on display. She had her right hand on her heart and her other hand behind her back. She stood respectfully and sang the entire National Anthem in a strong, clear voice. She brought the entire room of eight grown men to a stand still. There were men going to work, retired gentlemen, and one in an USMC sweatshirt. They stood there with their mouths agape, watching as my seven year old gave her respect to our flag. There were comments like, "Raising her right!" "Look at her facing the flag and everything!" and "Buy that kid a donut!" (They did.) I was so proud of my daughter at that moment. The reason that I am sharing with you is because I feel that this is as much your win as it is mine. We chose Adams Traditional Academy for it's academic excellence and we have not been disappointed. My children can recite long poems from memory, they are about a year ahead of their public school counterparts, they excel at math, and they learn at a fast pace. They learn US history in an immersive environment, from their Presidential Tea Party in Kindergarten to their Patriots Day reenactment in 5th grade. They learn Latin, root words, strong verbs, and quality adjectives. They are taught that they can be better than average and each and every one of the students rise to the challenge. Yet, there is something more happening at Adams Traditional Academy. Something that I don't see happening at other schools around the country. Our students are taught respect. Respect for their country, their teachers, authority in general. They are given expectations and are held to them. They are taught to love their country. They sing the National Anthem and say the Pledge of Allegiance every day while other schools don't have time for such things. I know that I am responsible for teaching my children manners and respect and I take that job very seriously. I also know that it takes a village to raise a child. I am so grateful to all of the teachers and to the curriculum at Adams Traditional Academy for working with me in raising good citizens, for teaching them respect for authority, and instilling pride in our country. Thank you. March 2021 I have 3 kids that have gone to Adams since Kindergarten. My oldest is on 4th grade. The kindergarten team is unbeatable. My kids are learning at a fast pace. They have high expectations and the children soar to meet and exceed them. My fourth grader is writing short stories that are better than a high schoolers. I've checked out my neighborhood elementary school and ATA is about a year and a half ahead. The campus is beautiful and the teachers are awesome. I highly recommend this school.
