I can't tell if this company is out of business, but I wanted to share my experience. They build and installed gates out of cheap 2x4 wood that almost instantly rotted and fell apart, along with a wood patio railing. Their crew dipped buckets in my pool when they needed water for cement and left cement residue in the pool. Yesterday I was told that the Velux skylights they installed weren't under warranty because they're were within 18 inches of the ridge line. And that one one, they didn't even use the Velux kit, instead opting for cheap plastic gutter trim.

Part of work was less than satisfactory. Workers were careless and damaged property, and/or lacked skill and licensure for specific jobs. The installation of the dishwasher was not done by a licensed plumber with poor results. Work was also variable such as the mudding of the ceilings and painting.
The owner, Tom Durhan, discounted the damage or poor workmanship that he did not want to repair. Additionally his office manager needs communication skills training.
At the same time some of the work was well done including the electrical, tiling of the bathroom and kitchen backsplash, wood work in the hearth room. Most employees were informative and pleasant.
The negative issues described above dampened my enthusiasm for the company. In the process and now, I am frustrated and angered by the damage and need for further repair. In summary, I would not recommend Mid-south Property Solutions

Mid-South just finished a job I thought was going to be a major fiasco (replace all my press board siding, rotten wood, remove and reinstall storm windows and paint entire house. Luis (the painter) did everything I asked and more. The owner, as well as, the project manager and office manager treated me like family and always made sure I was happy with every step of the project. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for quality work at a reasonable price. Thanks Mid-South, you have restored my faith in contractors.

Too bad, we cant give minus stars.
Tom, the owner of Mid-South Property Solutions - we contracted him to paint the inside of the whole house and replace kitchen counter tops before we moved in.
Very eager, quick in getting money from you, not as interested and quick in finishing the job. Called me for half down $ when I hadnt even closed on the house though I had discussed with him in detail the project, the closing and move-in dates etc. approx. six weeks before we moved in.
Painting was barely finished when we moved in.
The quality of work done, was less than professional.
They did not put down drop cloths, leaving paint marks all over our wood floors, carpet, counters, and bathtubs, showers, and sinks. It took us weeks to clean the paint drops and paint sprays from brush bristles (which are much harder to clean) from all over the house.
He told me he is using the highest grade of Sherwin Williams paint. I found out the name of it and asked him if he was using that paint? No, that will be $20/gal higher paint! Nothing is free.
When I saw them use 5 gal. Glidden paint bucket in my house, I asked Tom why he used Glidden, cheaper paint? He got upset, defensive and said, It doesnt matter. Its all the same. Your price still is not going to change. Etc. He thinks people are ignorant and he can fool them.
Used our bath tubs, toilets, and kitchen sink garbage disposal to dump paint showed no respect for our property. If they had cleaned up after themselves, I would have never known! But they did not bother to do that even. We dont know what they dropped in the toilets (chemicals or something) but ruined our toilets.
Whatever they took down while painting window treatments, shelves in the closet, etc. were not put back together properly, so we had to go over them and redo them.
Couldnt paint around the trims and door frames near the floors because its hard to reach! No, because they did not want to tape and put down drop cloths.
If it takes you more than a day to finish and do the touch up job after you finish painting, you know the job was not done right, professionally.
The worst part of it all -> Without looking or knowing the facts or being there, he would always defend his crew, his work while I was there looking at the work! And the way he talked to me, his client, it was absolutely unacceptable, unprofessional (talking down, condescending, like he was talking to his employee). Extremely rude, unprofessional.
He demanded to be paid before he finished the project after proving to me he is not reliable, trustworthy, giving lousy quality of work.
* I hope this saves someone a heart-ache, inconvenience and frustration.
