Why does no one pick up the phone!!??!!! Every time I call to make an appt I'm on hold for several (I mean several) mins until I just give up. My mother had same problem but since she lives closer she now goes directly to the office to make the appointment. Strange how no one is ever on the phone when she walks in and two or three of the workers raise their hand and say "I can help you over here." Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional!

This place is garbage as are all of Maine General facilities. They bill things incorrectly to insurance. Takes weeks to get them to actually send referrals so you can get the care you need. They have way too many patients and not enough doctors. The urgent care is completely useless. It takes weeks to get in to see anyone. Their turnover rate is extremely high. The doctors are overworked and details and important information constantly falls through the cracks. The worst part is there is no other option. They are the only facility accepting patients.

As a case manager, I had a client that was attempting to attend an appointment by zoom. When we logged on, the zoom link did not work. I called in and waited on hold for ~30 minutes to find out that GFM had cancelled the appointment, apparently without letting myself or my client know. Given that this was very unprofessional of them, they rescheduled my client's appointment for an hour later. We signed on to the zoom and sat waiting for an hour before giving up.
