Paul is always a straight shooter. I can't find anyone else in the Bay Area that will work on my box van, even though it is simply a GMC3500 Savana. I didn't hesitate to call him after not being back since 2018 when he fixed the leaking axle seal, and broken AC, replaced shocks, and redid the brakes. All the prior repairs are still in excellent condition. This time my AC condensor took a rock during a drive home from Thunderhill. Bah! He got my van in quick, got the parts quick (amazing in Covid supply issue times), and got the repair done quick. The man knows his stuff. I'm glad he survived 2020 shutdowns curtailing his business income. If you need a mechanic that can work on classic cars, modern cars, trucks, vans, beaters.... This is your shop. I use my van for hauling to the track and camping in the woods with my bikes. Coming home from the track when it is 105+ out and I've been sweating all day in my leathers, the AC is a must have.

It took longer than expected, but Paul did a superb job in finding the root cause of my three previous catalytic converter failures. They were most likely due to vacuum leaks caused by faulty installation of an air hose at the factory and a crude repair of a valve broken by some mechanic who didn’t disclose the repair to me at the time but discovered and fixed by Paul. I did end up with a new catalytic converter but hopefully this one will last for the lifetime of this car and will end the drama with the biannual smog checks required in the state of California as HC and NOx are almost zero now.
