So I went to Ethan Allen to look for reclining chair. Mia assisted me, she was very nice & knowledgeable. We decided to purchase a recliner that was supposed to be at the warehouse ready for delivery. We finish the transaction over the phone and by email. On the receipt in bold letters it said Quick delivery. Its been almost a month since the purchase. And Im being informed it will be another month. To make matters worse they want to charge me $225 to deliver. If I do not have the chair delivered I have to go to Hagerstown to the warehouse which is only open Monday through Friday until four or 5 oclock with an appointment. My other option, is to have a delivered at the store for $55. My complaint is it was supposed to be already made at the warehouse and ready for ready to be picked up which I assumed wed be at the store in frederick. Of course I called and complained and again I spoke with Mia and of course I got nowhere. So when purchasing furniture from Ethan Allen be sure to get everything clear before you sign a contract .

Do not buy furniture from this store. It is privately owned...fails to represent the Ethan Allen brand and service. I am a young professional that recently moved to this area. I am a dedicated Ethan Allen customer. However, I immediately felt judged when I walked in the store....maybe because I didn't fit whatever mold the associates expect. I asked for a recent catalog and was told they don't give them out anymore...really? The store is not updated and inventory isnt complete. I will make future purchases online or at a nearby store. Not here....STAY AWAY!
