American Leak Detection of Indianapolis

I left a message with three leak detectors; American Leak Detection was the only one who called me back. They returned my call within 10 minutes and then stayed on with me (on hold but I didn't mind, of course) while he called technicians to find one available to come out that day. We had had to turn off all the water to the house because of a leak, so I appreciated that he made all the effort to get someone out so quickly!! He did find a tech able to come out that day! And the work was done efficiently and accurately. We are very pleased with this company and felt valued as their customers!!

They came out a week ago drilled into our floor and essentially just confirmed that we have a leak, which we knew by the water pooling in our bedroom. Our plumber called them directly to try and get specifics on where the leak is and the technician named Isaiah had no answers. We called the company and asked to have someone else sent out and they refused. We then asked for a refund which they gave but this took over a week to get resolved.

I was pleased with the service provided. While they did not find a leak, they were very thorough. Thomas was prompt, thoughtful, and professional. He is a real tribute to his company. I highly recommend both him, and American Leak Detection.

Two stars only because 2nd worker was quite nice & found leak. 12/19: 1st guy arrived. (I have several cats who don't always use the litter box & sometimes go in the small bathroom where water leak sound was most prominent. I'd swept up their "errors" but residue remained on the floor.) The guy said "I can't do anything until you clean this bathroom & you call & reschedule once you clean it". I was stunned. He then said that he realized water would run a few more days but that's just how it would be. I called next day, spoke to woman to reschedule & explained worker had told me to clean my bathroom. She seemed ok with that, stating that due to holidays next appointment would be 1/7/20! I called later, spoke with Gary, stating I'm 70, I take care of my disabled partner & our pets & I'm doing the best I can & this was humiliating. Instead of apologizing for the worker's rudeness, he said "I'm sorry you feel that way". Seriously?? I was more stunned by the office's nonchalance than by their worker's rudeness. In the interim between 12/19 & 1/7 I received a $125 water bill & $293 sewer bill. 1/7: Very nice worker located leak which wasn't even in the stated bathroom! American Leak charged me full price for the service call & with no apology about the other worker's behavior, I can only assume they thought he acted appropriately .However it is never appropriate to treat customers/clients like trash but I guess when one is the only game in town for leak detection, one assumes they can treat people any way they want. I've shared this story with friends, relatives & a couple of plumbing companies - the latter finding it odd that anyone in the plumbing business would be offended by a little "poo".
