    1 Star for pretty flowers, but they were delivered a day late with no notice, no reply to multiple emails afterwards, and a delivery driver with a *terrible* attitude. Totally ruined the surprise and impact. (and cost $75)You know when you want to surprise someone on a special day? That day happened to be a Sunday and I don't live in the area, so I went looking for a flower shop that would deliver on a Sunday in Fort Lauderdale. Ideal Orchids had good reviews and the perfect plant.The website was fairly easy to use, so you can order directly on there at any time of the day (versus calling). They also do same-day delivery. When I ordered it, I designated for it to be delivered on a specific Sunday (again, it was time-sensitive). I got an immediate email confirmation with the delivery date stated clearly (incl. my additional note to leave the flowers on the front steps if no one answers) and was stoked about the quick response.The day came and went and I never heard from my friend. I finally texted on Monday to ask if he'd gotten a special surprise in the mail and... nope! At this point I emailed the address listed at the bottom of the confirmation as the contact email to ask what was going on.A few hours after that (a day late), the flowers were delivered by an extremely flustered woman. Apparently she had to go back to the truck several times because she hadn't brought the flowers up to the door when she knocked, and then when she brought the flowers, she left the gift note in the car... By that time, she let him know she was having a bad day. Sigh... Ok, I get it, we all have bad days, but you're delivering flowers with a "congrats" note! Maybe don't vent to the recipient?My friend let me know he'd gotten them and how it went down and I went back to my email and saw a confirmation of delivery. Again-- a day late. It even said on the confirmation that the delivery date picked was March 1st, and the delivery was confirmed on March 2nd. No note to let me know what had happened. I emailed again to say I'm really disappointed and that, at the very least, I should be refunded the $15 delivery fee.Crickets.It sucks because the flowers were really pretty, but being able to trust that your order will be delivered when you designated is a big deal. It lost a lot of its meaning because it wasn't a surprise on the day of the accomplishment AND I ruined the surprise by asking the next day. Also, the person who delivered it really made it an unpleasant experience on top of it being late.I would never use this service again. Mistakes happen, but the lack of communication and then lack of response to two separate emails afterwards is very bad customer service. If you choose them, I'd recommend calling and triple confirming that they will deliver on the day you need. A confirmation email is not sufficient.

    We ordered flowers for mothers day a d paid by credit card over the phone since we are not local. We were told, a day later, that they will not be delivering for Mothers Day. Why would a florist not deliver on one of the best weeks for sending flowers? We thought, a shop owner can make his own rules. We requested our money back and was told we would get a refund. Now almost a week later, we have not received a refund and the florist does not pick up the phone. You cannot leave a voicemail (mailbox full)I am not sure what is going on with this business but they took our money and we did not get flowers for mothers day.I hope nothing is seriously wrong but buyer beware!

    I contacted Ideal Orchids to deliver flowers to my wife. I selected a bromiliad, Nick was amazing, price was great, bromiliad might be one of the best I've ever seen. Definitely use Ideal Orchids. I will use no one else from now on!!

    Nick gets a 5 star review from me all the way out in California. His attention to detail and customer service over the phone is phenomenal.  I was sending an arrangement from the Executive Team of my out of state company and found Ideal Orchids online.  After speaking with Nick and sending him a picture of exactly what I wanted, his creation was flawless and beautiful!  The day of my order he did not have the color or Orchids we wanted so he went the next morning to make sure he had the perfect choice for us. I highly recommend Ideal Orchids for your next order, they truly care for you as a customer and will create that special arrangement you are looking for. Thank you Nick!!
