Sea Tow Fort Lauderdale

We had high water in the bilge 5 miles east of Ft. Laud Nov. 26. on a 60' sailboat. SeaTow and TowBoat US both responded. SeaTow continuously insisted we take their crash pump and sign paperwork. TowBoat US kept telling us taking the pump would give them salvage rights. SeaTow responded don't worry, insurance would take care of it. We did not take the pump because our situation stabilized and we were progressing towards Port. It felt like a slimy move without our best interest at heart. To make matters worse, we just completed a six figure complete Awlgrip paint job the month prior. We had 5 fenders out when SeaTow came alongside. We told their Capt. multiple times to be careful of the paint. After he was tied alongside us underway for at least 20 minutes, he cast off the bow line first instead of the stern. His SeaTow vessel rotated back around our transom and ruined the paint and fairing on the corner. A 2nd SeaTow vessel was observing all of it and both Captain's said don't worry we will take care of it. I had a boatyard come out and estimate the job at $20,000 plus haul and launch. I found a mobile painter to do the job for $1500. SeaTow Ft. Laud refuses to reimburse me. Beware this franchisee. I have been a SeaTow member for 20 years, and referred hundreds to SeaTow. I was broken down the other night and called sea tow Fort Lauderdale and spoke with Michelle . She informed me that my 2022 vessel was not sea worthy and I had to pay for the tow due to corporate saying so, I called corporate, and they said that my tow was approved they tried to reach out to her and she would not answer. She then proceeded to tell me she would not send out a tow boat unless I paid. Being that it was night we opted to pay it took them two hours and 20 minutes to get there and they charge me for two hours of towing when we were not towed for 20 minutes. Stay away from Sea, Tow, Fort, Lauderdale, and Michelle and her lies. Go with tow boat Service: Special vehicle towing

Captain Jeffrey arrived within 20 minutes after calling SEATOW. Excellent service and essential if you own a boat.

Had a tow recently to have our boat fixed. Sea Tow was excellent from Michelle in the office to Captain Greg. He arrived on time a little early and was very professional. We've been Sea Tow members for 20 years and will continue to be until we no longer own a boat. Lenny
